Fun Times

Mya loves to go swimming in the water.

She really likes to just stand or sit on the top step and through all the toys in:)

Since Mya isn't wearing diapers anymore her pants are a little saggy.

You know on Funniest home videos they have a "Who did it" segment...well who did it Mya or Derek? If you guessed Derek your correct.

Last Saturday we went to a park with our Sunday School class. Mya liked swinning with daddy...not quite sure about Derek's smile

Tonight was .31 scoop night at Baskin Robbins. For six scoops it was $1.99 yummy yummy

again Derek wanted to make silly faces (he made sure I got it on camera)

Cuteness

So the other night Mya, Derek, and I were taking a walk. Mya was pushing her doll in the stroller and Derek and I were walking behind her. All of a sudden she turned around and was acting like she wanted to hold one of our hands. She refuse them but kept on with the gesture of holding hands. She then reached over to my hand and put it in Derek's. Quite satisfied she started walking again. We wanted to see what she would do if we stopped holding hands. Immediately she turned around and told us to hold hands again. So we did and again satisfied she continued happily on her walk:)

Week 16

How your baby's growing:
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.

Potty Training and other pictures

Last Monday Mya all of a sudden started telling us when she needed to go potty. So we bought her some princess underwear (she thinks there all Rella)and told her it makes Rella very sad when she gets wet. We can't believe how good she is doing with it. The first 3 or 4 days she had one accident in her pants but since then she hasn't had any. Two night she has been dry and last night she woke up twice to go potty. We're hoping this sticks and by October she'll be out of diapers!!

I took a picture on the big girl potty and then she of course needed to say cheese on the froggy.

Since the ducks have not been around for a while I found some mingos that I put outside the window so Mya can see them when she's eating.

Our doggy:)

Enjoying the nice weather and yummy nuggets:)

Week #15

How your baby's growing:
Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces (about the size of an apple). She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive air sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now, and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight at your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she is forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.")

Mya's Room and Living Room

The other day a Babies R Us I found a pink sheet for Mya for $3 and decided to make her room a little more girly and pink. I had saw also some wall hangings that I liked but didn't want to spend the money so I found them on line and drew/copied them myself.

Closer up.

We had these shelves hanging in the living room in our old house but they have found a new home. I spray painted them white and made the MYA letters out of cardboard and scrapbook paper.

Family picture corner. When she looks at grandpa Stock she stick's her tongue out:) You'll have to ask him about that one.

And the last wall. It looks so nice to have things on the wall finally!

This is the room we originally thought we were going to put a dining room table but decided to switch the rooms.

Closer view of each side.

Baby Stock #2

For those of you who don't know I am 14 weeks pregnant and due October 12. We got to hear the heart beat today for the first time! Here is some info about the babe:)

WEEK 14: This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb. Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces.

More Easter fun

In the mail today we got another Easter package from Grandpa and Grandma Blaubach! Thanks a bunch!

My got her fixed sock that she had destroyed and a lamb puppet. She thought it was a "boobie" or birdie.

Nummy oh nummy was her reaction to the bags of candy:)

Happy Easter!

Mya in her new Easter dress.

Family photo. I must have deleted the picture of Mya with her Easter basket.

We had a fun afternoon at Uncle Phil and Aunt Pam's house. There were also 2 other families. The kids and Derek enjoyed a swim in the cold water.

Easter Egg Hunt with Church friends

Saturday night we went over to some people's house for a cookout and Easter egg hunt.

They also made a fun bunny craft. Unfortunately by the time we got home Mya had picked it apart.

Hunting for eggs.

All the kids with all the eggs.

Easter Egg Hunt with neighborhood

Saturday morning there was an Easter egg hunt and cookout for the neighborhood. There were so many eggs!!

Ready, Set, Hunt!

Mya quickly got the hang of it. She found the silver egg which won her a bunny that turns into a pillow.

All filled up.

She loved the jump house. I think we did it 3 or 4 times before we left.

All the kids who found the silver and gold eggs in each age level.

ZOO Day!

Derek had off today so we went to the zoo. Here are some pictures and i'll post some videos later.

Mya wanted to make sure she new all about it before we got there!

All ready for a day at the zoo.

These tiger cubs were so cute. They were playing and chasing each other all over while the mom just slept in the shade.

Derek feeding the bird some kind of sugar water. It climbed right on his hand.

The monkeys were feeling photogenic.

Mya with the monkeys.

It is kind of hard to see but there is a little baby in the pouch. These are actually walabies.

There was a little house that had "Budgies" or small Australian parrots. You could buy popsicle sticks with food and they came right up to you. Mya wasn't sure about at first but then loved it!

Mya and I in a "photo opportunity" spot. I thought I needed at least one picture.

Mya also got to feed the giraffes a cracker. When Derek asked her about there tongues she stuck hers out as far as it could go.

We also go to pet some stingrays.

Mya had a lot of fun chasing these fish around.

Going to the zoo wears you out!!
