Visit from Grandma Stock and Uncle Stefan

Grandma Stock and Uncle Stefan came for a visit this weekend. We picked them up Saturday night and they stayed till Tuesday night. We had a very fun time and it was so nice to see them...although we wish papa could have come too!

Mya snuggling with Grandma after her nap.

Celebrating Mya's birthday.

From the expression on her face you can't tell but she did like her cake.

Opening presents...a new cinderella shirt:)

Look of determination.

Her new bubble blower.

Watching Cinderella.

Sitting with Grandma while Uncle Ste-pan (as Mya called him)fished and daddy played with his boat.

For memorial day we went to the beach. Ste-pan kept Mya ocupied with his I-pod.

We had a fun day at the beach and got plenty of sun. The excitement of the day was when we all had to get out of the water because there were sharks. Thankfully we had been there for quite awhile already so we were ready to leave.

Playing with grandma.

Mya was worn out after playing all day. For Mya to fall asleep in the stroller she is beyond tired.

Tuesday before they left and while Derek was at work we went to Venice to walk around the shops. We found a yummy ice cream place:)

Say Cheese

Mya all snuggled up watching Cinderella. Notice no shirt or shorts but you must have on the shoes!

We found this pink hanging thing at Ikea. She loves her new house:) We thought maybe it would get her to sleep in her bed. No such luck.

Say Cheese mommy.

Coloring Cinderella. She'll color their mouth and say yucky mouth gross.

Anniversary Celebration

For our anniversary I got Derek a remote control boat. He got me some chocolate and a dress. He and Mya had to check it out.

This is where we went to eat. If you notice there is rainbow in our honor to the side of the restraunt.

Mother's Day

This is the only half was decent picture of Mya and I. I had just woken up from my 3 hour mother's day nap:)

For supper we went to Bob Evans. Mya enjoyed sharing Derek's dessert.

This has nothing to do with mother's day but I love her eyes in this picture. She was pretending to be a fishie but she looks more like a mean alligator.

Ikea and Table

An Ikea opened up 20min from our house on Wed. Yesterday Mya and I went and checked it out. They had face painting, balloons, stories, and all kinds of fun things.
Mya sat nice and still while the lady made the lady bug and fish.

We found a dining room table so that night Derek came back with us to pick it up. This morning he put it together. Can you tell he is excited there were only 10 boxes (2 for the table and then 8 chairs) he had to put together.

Mya liked all the boxes.

We also found this little stand for our bathroom to put towels on. I put it together all by myself.

The final result!

Random

I told Mya we were going to leave and a few minutes later this is how I found her...she had collected her "5 things she can't leave the house without"

Reading a bedtime story...her favorite!

Derek has been lifting up the sheets for Mya in our bed to make a "house". So now whenever possible we make "houses"

Notice the blankets all around the sides, this is another "house"

Miami

Last Friday (5/1) we had to go down to Miami to the Brazilian Consult for Derek's Visa. It is a 5 hour trip and you can only apply for visas from 10-12. So we had to leave at 5 a.m. We've seen Miami and have no desire to ever return!

On the way home we drove throught the Everglades. We stopped at this rest stop and there was a river full of Alligators. Very cool to see.

For supper we stopped in Venice. A very cute town with lots of little shops. We at at an old soda shop and had yummy ice cream treats!

Week 17

How your baby's growing:
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
