Derek took Monday and Tuesday off so he could help get some last minute things done before baby is born. He did the dishes (with a little help from Mya), cleaned both bathrooms, washed the kitchen floor, vacuumed, laundry, watched Mya while I went to MOPS Tuesday morning, changed the sheets on Mya's bed, went grocery shopping with me and probably more that i'm forgetting...he probably is wishing he had gone to work:) Thanks babe!!

Today was my 26th birthday. I think you really appreciate a birthday (really more your mom)when you are ready to have a baby in 4 days and really can relate to exactly how she was feeling all those years ago.

Mya was very proud of her blue tongue.

She was also a little disapointed that the cards didn't play music but got over it pretty quick.

So the real reason I did this post is to brag about my husband. I have been eyeing up a Cricut for quite a while and that is what I got for my birthday. Not only that but when we opened it there was a piece missing and he packed it all back up and went to 2 different Wal-Marts to return and find one with all the parts. Then he watched Mya all afternoon while I took a nap. What a good husband!

Saturday afternoon we found a new beach/park right by our house. It was a beautiful afternoon and we had fun exploring and watching all the boats.

When we got home Derek and Mya played with Play-doh. Well Mya made requests and Derek created...I like the hulk like Cinderella:)

I am on the MOPS planning team at church and Friday morning we had a meeting. Before the meeting they suprised me with a baby shower. We got cute outfits, toys, blankets, bath items and many more fun gifts! Thanks everyone!!

This past weekend was missions conference at church. So Mya wore her India outfit. She danced around all morning singing to herself and acting like a princess. She then asked if she was going to get married...we told her she had to wait till she was older:)

At 5:00A.M. Mya woke up asking for pancakes and milk (she must have remembered that it is pancake Wed at Grandma B's house). I told her when the sun woke up she could get up and went back to bed. For about the next 1/2 hour this is what we heard (it is the I can be your friend song from Veggie tales...she is saying I can be your friend lalala) she usually adds the line about sharing her jello but even her mind must not have been fully awake that early:) She never did fall back to sleep...hopefully that means a nice long nap!

Before bed Derek reads Mya a Bible story and then prays with her. The prayer is the one Derek said when he was little. It isn't Mya's best time saying it but when you're 2 it is hard to act normal when mom is taping you:)

So when Mya has to go to the bathroom we just let her go and then she tells us when she is done and we help her with the rest. Here are 2 bathroom stories.

Well this morning she had been in the bathroom awhile but sometimes she just likes to sit in there so I went to check. She had started unrolling all the toilet paper. She looked at me and said "I finding George!" On the Curious George movie George unrolls all the toilet paper in the bathroom. Sometimes I find myself thinking that really you can interchange George and Mya on any given day. There was no picture for this one as I do not want to encourage unrolling toilet paper:)

This weekend Mya was in the bathroom and I asked her if she was done. She replied no mom i'm reading. Derek and I looked at each other as we didn't think there was any books in the bathroom. This is what we found...we forgot about the little decorative book on the back of the toilet.

Mya had been asking to go to the beach so Saturday we headed over to Anna Maria. Derek had never been there and agreed it is one of the best beaches around. Derek and Mya had a fun time playing in the water and building a cinderella castle. I also had a fun time sitting under the umbrella reading and watching them play. I didn't put a swimming suit on as someone might have mistaken me for a beached whale:)

Funny Story

So tonight Mya told me she had to go to the bathroom...nothing unusual. She usually sits on her froggy and calls me when she is done. Well she went into the bathroom and all of a sudden I heard a crash and she started crying. I ran in and she had decided to use the "big girl" toilet with the little seat insert. This also would have not been a problem but someone had left the seat up. Well the insert is not big enough when the seat is left up and fell right into the toilet. She was half on the seat and half in the toilet. The look on her face was priceless. I thought about taking a picture but didn't feel like being a mean mom and making her sit there while I got the camera.

So we are pretty much set with Toby's room. Derek hung up the last shelves tonight so I thought i'd put up some pictures.

When you walk into the room to the left is his "dresser/changing table". The ABC's are a football, baseball, and basketball.

Then it is the wall with his crib. Notice the toys in the crib...those Mya thought he needed.

So we missed the State Fair this year. My favorite thing about the state fair even more than the cream puffs are the monster cookies. Well Saturday we recieved a package from Derek's mom with 3 monster cookies! A little piece of Wisconsin:)

After a cookie like that a good nap is in order (neither Mya or I finished our cookie). Notice that Mya's hands are folded. She hasn't been taking very good naps and one way to help her fall asleep faster is I have been telling her to lay down, close her eyes and fold her hands. What a good listener.

Since we had borrowed the bassinet from my parents when Mya was born we needed to find a new one since we no longer live close. So I have been searching high and low for the last month for the "perfect" one. Well Sunday night I was once again looking on Craigslist and found this one from Pottery Barn. It also included the bedding for a girl and boy. Right now it is set up for a girl but we will change it for a boy:) The basket can come off and be carried around and there is a nice shelf for storage underneath.

Mya's new thing when going to the bathroom is shutting the door, turning her potty chair towards the bathtub, and putting the shower curtain over her...I guess it helps her relax?

Friday after work Derek took Mya outside to play and he started to put his motorcycle back together.

As we were leaving there was a restraunt across the street that had a fountain with a statue in the middle. She informed me that it was Jesus taking a shower. Not sure where she got that from!

Visitors from the North

My parents are in India for 2 weeks so Tonya, Jenna, and Elise came to visit us for a week. It is hard to believe it is over already. Here are some snapshots of our VERY fun week together. Mya sobbed for about 10min after we dropped them off at the airport. When we got home all the power was off so Mya and I took full advantage of it and took a 4 1/2 hour nap:)

We started the week off at Anna Maria Island.

It was very hot so we decided ice cream was a must on the way home.

Friday morning we headed off to downtown disney. We had quite a fun time trying on all kinds of hats. Mya wanted nothing to do with having a hat on so a bribe for the picture worked:)

Of course we had to see Cinderella.

After Disney we went to the AVEDA school where Elise got a pedicure

and Tonya and Jenna got manicures.

Saturday we headed out to the Zoo. When we left the thermometer in the truck (which was parked in the shade) was 101.

Tuesday we picked up Salina and thought we would try a new beach. If you ever think about going to Picnic Island Park DON'T! You litterally drive through an industrial park to get to it and the water I was told was slimy.

We ended up going back to swim in our pool (after a SONIC break) and then over to Uncle Phil and Aunt Pam's for a yummy cookout.

We finished off the week with some sparklers.

Missions Trip to Brazil

Derek here, thought I would share some pictures I recently received that everyone had taken when we were on the missions trip in Brazil. It was awesome! My favorite part was when we prayed with the wanano tribe speaking different languages but praying to the same God! Enjoy!

So it was a 7 hour flight from Atlanta GA to Manaus Brazil, we stayed in the city of Manaus for a night and then the following day took a boat to the mission school (left)

The school had this boat with a 12 cylinder diesel to get around, this is also what we loaded 200 bags of sand in. (the sand was to be used with concrete for a new building.)

When we were there the Amazon river was 17 cm away from the all high record, nevertheless the pier did not take us all the way to land, but it suited us fine for bathing (with swimming suits people!).

So Jesse one of the girls on the trip didn't want to get her pants wet getting on the boat so I thought I would help her.

This is pretty much the largest tree I have ever seen in my life. This was on the school base.

So everywhere you go pretty much on the school base you bring a machete to protect yourself against things like this a snake, this "yellow belly" snake wasn't poisonous but it scared us, it was having a good time eating a frog.

So after a long day of moving sand we decided to swim in the amazon, off the boat. Where we saw a porpoise.

So the people down here had hand made boats that they attached 5 HP motors too with a shaft and a prop. The boats were made out of a tree, not very much free board.

There was also a cliff that we went swimming off it was huge, and most of it was clay kind of cool.

We left the school base and headed farther inland to Sao Gabriel. This is a picture of the amazon from the plane.

Sao Gabriel was on the Rio Negro (black river) which feeds into the amazon, the current was amazing there, if you go down the rapids, yeah you are pretty much done.

Here is the spors and other missionaries home in sao gabriel where we helped install a water tower.

Quite the view from the mission home, again, this river was flowing like crazy.

This is Moseus, he is an indian originally from colombia that married a wanano(it is basically considered incest for wananos to marry wananos). He helped install the water towers. It is amazing he can speak spanish, portuguese, and wanano.

Here is the water tower we hooked up, the ladders aren't exactly osha approved. Putting the covers on the tanks weren't exactly fun either. The tanks ran to the two mission homes behind in the picture.

There was also a well that was dug before we got there, so if rain water wasn't enough, they could hook up a generator to the pump to pump fresh water to the tower. I helped run conduit, drop the pump and feed the piping to the tower.

Here are Moseus' kids, they were fun to play with, at first they thought I was going to eat them, but then they warmed up and I was a human jungle gym.

Here is a picture of everyone on the trip and some wanano's, behind them is a guest house that a previous mission team built that is used for church services.

Here are some of the little guys, the orange streaks in their hair is an indication of malnurishment, they get one meal a day, and one or two meals a week with meat, everything else is starches.

This was a potluck after church service with some of the indians, and most of them were unbelievers. Everyone put there bowl on the table, and then it was all split up.

Most of the indians were playing soccer, well being that it is in my blood I took it upon myself to find a football in one of the mission homes, so we got together and played some tag football.

Being that the indians never saw football before, they definitely thought we were crazy.

The master suite/kitchen/living room,... it definitely makes you thankful for what you have.

Here is the beginning of Moseus' boat, the indians flip it over put a fire under it and then basically stretch the boat out, I was trying to show him that I could fit in it without him having to burn the boat. The wananos had some interesting beliefs, almost like superstitions but more significant, moseus said that you could not burn your boat if you were hungry or had to go to the bathroom and other things, otherwise bad spirits came upon your boat.

Here was my favorite part on a wednesday night we got together with the wanano's and prayed and had fellowship, it was awesome to hear someone pray in another language, but knowing that we are all praying to the same God and we are all going to see each other in heaven!

We went for a little boat ride up river on the Rio Negro, and stood on some rocks by an amazing whirlpool, so no we couldn't walk on water like Jesus.

Here is another picture of the Rio Negro, I couldn't believe the rapids, would not want to capsize in this thing. Oh and Sao Gabriel had a serious dog problem, they should have Bob Barker tell them to get there dogs and cats spayed or neutered. I guess it isn't a good idea to walk alone at night because of them either, seriously.

After the mission school and Sao Gabriel we spent a day touring the city of Manaus, there was a market place we went to, to barter, all I wanted to know how to say was mais barato (more cheap). Here the river had come up and flooded some of the streets. The amazon flucuates anywhere up to 40' between seasons...crazy!

The military ran a zoo there so we went to go see it, and I Derek Stock selflessly defended the missions team.

We took pictures of animals,.... and of military guys having to clean the pond.

I have many more pictures if anyone is interested, but thought I would end with this one, being that I work in a power plant. I don't know what it says, but I'm pretty sure I didn't want to go in that shed swinging golf clubs or something.

We were over at some friends house yesterday and the little girl had a little princess wand. It was a flower with some ribbon coming off of it so I decided to try to make Mya one. I was actually quite proud of how it turned out.

Dog days of summer

So when it is 85 degrees by 7 a.m. and only gets hotter from there with high humidity it isn't very fun to go outside. The pool water now feels like bath water and when we go to put Mya in the car she cries cause she knows it is hot! So I am trying to obey (well more like use it as an excuse)the pregnancy books and stay inside in the AIR CONDITIONING (my new best fried). I feel kind of like when it is February in WI and you can't wait for the first warm day to go outside, now I can't wait for the first cooler day to go outside. Trying to come up with things to do inside gets a little hard to do so today I decided we would try cut out cookies. A big hit!!

Mya wanted daddy to come in her house...I don't think she realized he would take up the whole thing!

Mya likes to watch the Curious George Music video with Derek. He will sit with her and watch it over and over. What a good daddy!

We were at the mall the other day and Mya was brave enough this time to ride on the horse. It went in circles and up and down she was quite excited.

Mya has now officially moved to her big girl bed. The pack and play has been taken down and put away. She got some cracker crumbs in the bottom of it one day and said it was yucky and wanted to sleep in her big girl bed. As easy as that!

Future Rock Star

On Saturday we went to Babie's R Us to get a gift for a baby shower and see what we might need for our new baby coming. Well luckily for Derek there was a Guitar Center next to it. He took Mya over there and this is what I found. A pink guitar! She told all the people in the store about it and talks about the pink guitar.

Sunday we went over to Uncle Phil and Aunt Pam's house for the afternoon. Mya and Derek went swimming and after a second day in a row without a nap she was asleep in the car before we got out of the subdivision. Salina had given her the flag.

Derek showed Mya that if you blow through one end it makes a lovely whistling sound. Thankfully she can't make as loud of a noise as Derek. The blue thing is actually a tube used to blow up an excercise ball. Give it to a 2 year old and it is a jump rope or a musical instrument.

Yesterday morning I saw a turtle in our yard. We have a fenced in yard so we have no idea how it got in. It spent the day walking from one side of the yard to the other till Derek got home and saved him by putting him back in the pond.

At supper Derek was doing his best turtle impression for Mya. I think maybe we should have put him out of his misery and put him in the pond with the real turtle!

After being apart for two weeks we thought we would take full advantage of the long weekend. We had a fun weekend full of activities, relaxing, and hanging out together!

Thursday night we started it off with bowling. I'll try to get the video cause it is quite funny. Mya walked like a horse in the shoes. Her favorite part was waiting for the ball to come back out of the machine and carrying back to the lane.

After everytime she would turn around and say yeah and clap (she never would watch it long enough to see if she actually knocked any pins over)

Derek helped her roll the ball down the lane so it didn't take 10min.

Afterwards we played some of the arcade games.

Two year olds don't need to know you are suppose to put money in to play:)

Friday we slept in and then headed to Orlando to see Downtown Disney. It is free to get in and you just walk around all the shops.

Mya was mesmerized by Cinderella and her pumkin carriage.

She didn't quite know what to do when she saw Cinderella.

Saturday we braved the heat and went out to the Brandon Parade.

She loved waving to all the people and saying hi. Every so often the floats would have people spraying water guns. We wanted that more than the candy!

We left half way through it was so hot and Mya still made out pretty good with 25 bead necklaces!

Later that night we went to go see some fireworks. Mya thought they were pretty but didn't like the noise. Notice her hand over her mouth:)

Where we were there were people setting off there own not a community fireworks so we went back home to set off some of our own that Derek got. They were just ones that stayed on the ground and sparklers. Mya did not like them and kept asking to go to bed.

WI Trip

Here is a quick overview of our trip. We had a very fun time but it was so nice to see Derek after being gone for 2 weeks!

One day we went with Grandma Stock to the Betty Brinn Childrens Museum.

Tubby time with cousin Lina. Carrie told Mya to splash Lina...she didn't realize that Mya could splash so hard.

Mya danced while her crazy aunts pretended to play different instruments (Lydia was holding the bucket for Jenna as Jenna had been sick the night before)

We celebrated Carrie's 24th birthday complete with Rainbow Chip frosting.

We also helped Grandma Blaubach plant some beans in the garden.

My mom and I made a trip out to Culpeper, Virginia for a friend of mine's wedding. Mya stayed with Papa and Grandma Stock and had lots of fun complete with a trip to the water park and cookies from Great Grandma Stock.
We went to Fredricksburg, VA and walked around. We learned quite a bit at the local Apothacary. Be glad medician has advanced quite a bit since the 1700's!

We also walked around the Kenmore gardens.

The highlight of the trip was a fun little tea shop we found and had a tea party. Complete with hats and pearls:)

The reception was at Prince Micheals Vinyard. It was very beautiful.

We also had the chance to walk around Washington D.C. We put in quite a few miles and saw The Capital Building, White House, Washington Memorial, World War II Memorial (pictured below), Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial, Lincoln Memorial (also pictured below), and Arlington National Cemetary where we saw the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Lydia graduated top of her class on Sunday. I have some videos that I can't get on here but will try again. She was one of the 6 valedictorians. They all gave a 3 min speech. Lydia's of course was the best.

Mya and I flew to WI. You can't really see it in the picture but there was a plane outside the window and she was completely mezmorized by it. She watched it probably for 20min.

For Mya's birthday we went to the zoo in the afternoon. It had rained in the morning so there weren't many people there.

It was nice and hot and she loved playing in the water. She didn't want to go see any other animals after this she just wanted to stay and play.

Mya decided to use her shoe for a shovel. She is rinsing it off in this picture and then put it on her sandy feet. She doesn't like the sand in her shoes but hasn't quite figured out that if you put sandy feet in your shoes your shoes will get sandy.

I was so tired and wanted to take a nap so I put a movie in the laptop and put Mya in her pack and play with some raisins and crackers. She loved it and stayed out of trouble and I took a nap.

Tuesday night Derek had an early softball game so Mya and I went to watch. It was delayed by almost an hour because it was pouring rain and lightning. Thankfully there was an awning over the stands. Mya wore her hat like daddy.

Mya and I went to the park today. She ran almost the whole way there and back, it was only about 90 degrees out with 80% humidity. It made for a very good nap and an early bedtime.

She didn't like all the bugs and there were lots of them...it didn't help that they were cutting the grass.

This weekend my (Kristen) parents came for a quick visit. We picked them up from the airport at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and dropped them back off at 5:00 a.m. Monday. Even though it was short we had lots of fun. We celebrated Mya's birthday, again, went to the beach, played a few hands of Liver Pool Rummy and had fun just hanging out. What a fun weekend!

Grandma made Mya her own house. It has two windows and a door. By the end of the night all of Mya's presents and quite a few pairs of shoes were in it.

All ready for church.

After church we stopped and picked up subs from Subway. Then we stopped at home changed and packed a picnic lunch. We went to Apollo Beach which is about 10min from our house.

Mom and I used the fancy wine glasses from the picnic basket to drink our Coke.

Grandma Stock and Uncle Stefan came for a visit this weekend. We picked them up Saturday night and they stayed till Tuesday night. We had a very fun time and it was so nice to see them...although we wish papa could have come too!

An Ikea opened up 20min from our house on Wed. Yesterday Mya and I went and checked it out. They had face painting, balloons, stories, and all kinds of fun things.
Mya sat nice and still while the lady made the lady bug and fish.

We found a dining room table so that night Derek came back with us to pick it up. This morning he put it together. Can you tell he is excited there were only 10 boxes (2 for the table and then 8 chairs) he had to put together.

We also found this little stand for our bathroom to put towels on. I put it together all by myself.

Miami

Last Friday (5/1) we had to go down to Miami to the Brazilian Consult for Derek's Visa. It is a 5 hour trip and you can only apply for visas from 10-12. So we had to leave at 5 a.m. We've seen Miami and have no desire to ever return!

On the way home we drove throught the Everglades. We stopped at this rest stop and there was a river full of Alligators. Very cool to see.

For supper we stopped in Venice. A very cute town with lots of little shops. We at at an old soda shop and had yummy ice cream treats!

So the other night Mya, Derek, and I were taking a walk. Mya was pushing her doll in the stroller and Derek and I were walking behind her. All of a sudden she turned around and was acting like she wanted to hold one of our hands. She refuse them but kept on with the gesture of holding hands. She then reached over to my hand and put it in Derek's. Quite satisfied she started walking again. We wanted to see what she would do if we stopped holding hands. Immediately she turned around and told us to hold hands again. So we did and again satisfied she continued happily on her walk:)

Week 16

How your baby's growing:
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. Last Monday Mya all of a sudden started telling us when she needed to go potty. So we bought her some princess underwear (she thinks there all Rella)and told her it makes Rella very sad when she gets wet. We can't believe how good she is doing with it. The first 3 or 4 days she had one accident in her pants but since then she hasn't had any. Two night she has been dry and last night she woke up twice to go potty. We're hoping this sticks and by October she'll be out of diapers!!

I took a picture on the big girl potty and then she of course needed to say cheese on the froggy.

Since the ducks have not been around for a while I found some mingos that I put outside the window so Mya can see them when she's eating.

Week #15

The other day a Babies R Us I found a pink sheet for Mya for $3 and decided to make her room a little more girly and pink. I had saw also some wall hangings that I liked but didn't want to spend the money so I found them on line and drew/copied them myself.

We had these shelves hanging in the living room in our old house but they have found a new home. I spray painted them white and made the MYA letters out of cardboard and scrapbook paper.

Baby Stock #2

For those of you who don't know I am 14 weeks pregnant and due October 12. We got to hear the heart beat today for the first time! Here is some info about the babe:)

WEEK 14: This week's big developments: Your baby can now squint, frown, grimace, pee, and possibly suck his thumb. Thanks to brain impulses, his facial muscles are getting a workout as his tiny features form one expression after another. His kidneys are producing urine, which he releases into the amniotic fluid around him — a process he'll keep up until birth. He can grasp, too, and if you're having an ultrasound now, you may even catch him sucking his thumb. In other news: Your baby's stretching out. From head to bottom, he measures 3 1/2 inches — about the size of a lemon — and he weighs 1 1/2 ounces.

Saturday morning there was an Easter egg hunt and cookout for the neighborhood. There were so many eggs!!

Derek had off today so we went to the zoo. Here are some pictures and i'll post some videos later.

These tiger cubs were so cute. They were playing and chasing each other all over while the mom just slept in the shade.

There was a little house that had "Budgies" or small Australian parrots. You could buy popsicle sticks with food and they came right up to you. Mya wasn't sure about at first but then loved it!

Mya also got to feed the giraffes a cracker. When Derek asked her about there tongues she stuck hers out as far as it could go.

Turtle Beach

Today we decided to explore some beaches. We were going to go to Siesta Key but we couldn't find a spot to park so we went to Turtle Beach...Carrie this picture is for you:)

With daddy here this time she really liked the water and the sand. When Derek would go in she would try to follow but the waves were strong and if I wasn't holding her hand knocked her right over.

The other day I asked Mya if she wanted to go for a walk. Walk she said and ran and got her baby and stroller. When we were almost done she decided her baby needed to walk and carried her the rest of the way.

We went to the mall and there is a double story Merry-Go-Round. Mya was quite fasinated with the horses. I took her on but she just screamed when we put her on the horse...so we road in the carriage.

She also wanted nothing to do with the Easter Bunny we saw...maybe it was the scary picture behind us.

The Muscovy Ducks

This week on the Stock family blogspot you can learn about the Muscovy duck also know as Cairina moschata. Best known north of the Rio Grande as an exotic domesticated goose sized duck of pond and park, the muscovy is native to to Latin America, where it has had to be far more wary than the park-side variety in order to survive. Their diet is that of an omnivore, taking in much animal matter in the form of small fish and crustaceans as well as some plant/ seeds.

I guess they also eat bread. Mya and I have had fun feeding them and they have stayed around. Such a beautiful animal. Till next time...

Wednesday we packed up the truck(thanks to all our Family for there help in packing, watching Mya, loadign the truck, and cleaning) and Thursday Derek and Evan headed down to Florida. They got here around 9a.m. Friday and after a quick cat nap they had the truck unloaded, beds put together, and video games out. The rest of us (Kristen, Mya, Carrie, Lina, Tonya, and Lydia) left at 4a.m. in our 2 vehicles and arrived in Florida at 3:13a.m. Here are some pictures from the move and our first day.

We're MOVING!!

Derek got a job down in Florida. So in the middle of March we will be leaving the cold snowy weather of Wisconsin to enjoy the warm sunny weather of Flordia. We will be living in Apollo Beach about 30 min south of Tampa. This past weekend we went down to look at places to live and found a house we are going to rent about 3 min from Derek's work. So if anyone needs a sunny vacation you are more than welcome to come stay with us!!

We didn't get to the airport till about 2:30 in the morning after delayed planes. Derek is waiting for the bus to come pick us up to take us to the car renta.

Right outside the plant they have a Manitee viewing area. The Manitee's come to this area because the plant has it's warm water discharge into the bay so on cold winter days the Manitee's can stay warm. On the day we went there were probably between 75-100. The little bumps on the water are Manitees.

On Saturday (Feb.7), for Christmas, mom and dad took all the married children to Chicago. We took the train down and walked around, went to The Museum of Science and Industrie, and ate at the Rainforrest Cafe. It was nice to be able to do one last thing together before everyone leaves. What a fun day!!
The weather was beautiful! We didn't even need jackets most of the time.

First Haircut

So I finally gave into giving Mya her first haircut. Ever since she was little she has had a very long chunk of hair that goes right down the middle of her face. As her hair has grown in two long chunks have also grown on each side of her head. So I made an appointment for both us. Well we got there and she wanted nothing to do with it. To calm her down some we gave her her dog and the lady gave her a sucker. So we thought maybe if she saw me getting my hair cut she would be better. Well it worked somewhat. Tonya held her and while Mya was watching me get my hair cut the girl cut Mya's hair.

Mya loves to "read" books...(take a book off of the shelf look at it put it on the ground take the next one and repeat the process).

We finally put a bookshelf in the basement and oraganized all of Mya's toys.

Angie and I have been walking at Mayfair 3 days a week and Mya and Raquel have fun in their strollers.

At the end if they are good they get to go up the escalators sit in the cars at the top and then come back down.

Derek had off last friday so we took a trip up to Manitowoc to see Stock's Harley davidson and then decorated for Christmas!

We broke down this year and bought a fake tree but when it is the same price as a real one who can resist.

The other day I put Mya down for a nap at my parents and a little while later Carrie came down to tell me she could smell Mya throught the closed door. When I went up to change her diaper this is how I found her.

Mya is fasinated with the snow. She likes to just stand in it but when she falls down or tries to walk in it she isn't too sure. She just stood in the snow till I shoveled and then in the driveway she would only walk in the tire tracks.

Opening weekend of gun hunting my (Kristen) mother-in-law had me, mya, my sisters, mom,and sister in law over for a beautiful tea party. After we played games, watched Wall-E and had a sleepover!

Derek had off last Monday so we went to the Domes since Milwaukee residents got in free. This is in the Rain Forest Dome.

We got Mya a new hat and she wore it all afternoon.
